Jennifer Hayes, Ph.D., Trustee

Jennifer is an aquatic biologist, author, speaker and award-winning photographer specializing in natural history. She has also studied shark exploitation and finning in the western North Atlantic.

She is the author of numerous articles on marine environments, with images appearing in countless books, magazines and advertising campaigns. Working with David Doubilet, their National Geographic assignments have taken them to document the riches of Cuba reefs, the remote beauty of Tasmania’s cold waters, white sharks, the bounty of South Africa’s Seas and the dark secrets of Africa’s Okavango Delta, to name a few. David and Jennifer also collaborated on the book, Face to Face with Sharks, that seeks to create greater understanding about sharks.
