Four New Species of Sharks that Go on Walkabouts

Four new species of tropical sharks that use their fins to “walk” were recently discovered off northern Australia and New Guinea. All are small sharks less than a metre in length and belong to the genus Hemiscyllium. Their unique ability allows them to hunt their prey of small crustaceans and molluscs across coral reefs at low tide.
