Skyler Thomas, Field Investigator

Skyler is an award-winning, independent filmmaker tackling issues facing the existence of sharks and the growing gap between humans and the rest of the planet.

He has traveled internationally to where shark-related events are taking place and conducted interviews with individuals involved in the matter, and through this has created a series of online videos and the documentary, Great White Lies which focused on the corrupt politics involved in Western Australia's 2014 shark cull.

Skyler has also been an educator, incorporating sharks in the classroom. He currently travels to different schools, universities, and private organizations giving presentations, which are enhanced by his shark footage and lessons learned from what he's witnessed in the field.

He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Ecopsychology focused on animal behavior.
