JOE ROMEIRO, FILM PRODUCTION

Naturalist and award-winning cinematographer, Joe developed a love for the ocean at a young age, with a special affinity for sharks. Along with awarding-winning photographer and sound engineer Bill Fisher, Joe founded and created 333 Productions LLC/333 Digital. They have created many award-winning films and he has won such notable awards as Blue Ocean Film Festival’s Best New Film and Best New Cinematographer, ADEX Underwater Film of the Year Award, and the Cousteau’s-Ocean Inspiration Award given by the Cousteau family. He has worked with top scientists and has grown to be a highly respected naturalist in the field of shark research and behavior. Joe has spent over a decade filming and interacting with sharks all over the world and regularly heads up field expeditions.

Joe has been a host/producer and Underwater Director of Photography for 333 Productions since 2008. His work has been featured on Discovery Networks, Discovery International, National Geographic, BBC Wildlife, and Animal Planet, among others, and he is a regular on CNN, MSNBC, FOX, USA Today, and many more. Joe has spent thousands of hours working with sharks under water and he is heavily involved with research, outreach, and education. He is an outspoken advocate for sharks and regularly lectures on the conservation of sharks as a collaborator with the shark community. Joe also served on the Board of Directors of the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy and he is a member of the esteemed Explorers Club and the Ocean Artists Society.
