He learned banking, started his own advertising agency and became a race car driver for Abarth and Alfa Romeo. In 1977, he moved to upstate New York where he started the first commercial deer farm in North America: the Lucky Star Ranch. He learned scuba diving at the age of 60 and after a cage dive in the Pacific he fell in love with sharks. Now, at the age of 71 he still dives with sharks all over the world and is passionate about protecting them.
